Our mission is to provide excellent software engineering services and world class engineers. We will apply the Kaizen principle of continuous incremental improvement for developing software, as well as developing engineers.
The primary objective is to provide high quality engineering to our partners. A secondary objective supporting the primary objective is to find and develop great engineers. We have years of experience in the video game industry, helping our clients ship industry leading software on time. Doing this will allow Kaizen to directly address two major needs: creating great software and hiring and developing engineering talent.
Kaizen engineers will work with an experienced team and have the opportunity to grow with the company. Great career progression will be available for our employees to advance. For our partners, this means being able to staff projects with varying budgets.
From a technology and culture standpoint the company will be structured to operate as if everyone was a remote contributor. However as we grow an office will be opened in the Portland area so working in an office will be available. Mentoring and apprenticing will be built into the culture. We’ll tap into the current talent point in Portland and attract new talent to the area.
Kaizen will be a culture of continuous education and mentorship. The best way for engineers to quickly level up is to allow them to do work that is just outside of their comfort zone, under the direction of industry veterans. Kaizen team members are comfortable giving and receiving feedback constructively.
